All countries and educational systems need to transform! Leadership Innovation NZ provides personal growth and learning opportunities for school leaders at all levels. The professional learning series adopts a group approach to professional learning for leaders. Individualised programmes create opportunities for leaders to explore the personal understandings and contexts. In doing so they explore aspects of relevant literature, emerging or fully fledged understanding of leadership, how these might interact and how they create the potential for growing leaders in their organisation and developing transformative approaches.
The processes are challenging, rigourous, rewarding and personally satisfying for all participants.
Leadership Innovation NZ is internationally connected. This high level of connectedness creates opportunities for New Zealand and other leaders to engage with their counterparts in many other countries. This form of international networking is essential in a connected global community as it offers opportunities for the exchange of ideas, successful strategies and protocols.
We assist leaders to:
- Link leadership theory and a personal professional practice
- Lead the way in transforming their schools and the learning of each and every student
- Develop leadership capacity throughout the school in order to maximise staff capacity and build future leaders

Principal Appraisal and Mentoring
Principal appraisal and mentoring are linked specifically to acknowledge that any form of the appraisal for leaders should also be a learning opportunity.
Senior Leadership Team Mentoring and Development
The mentoring and development programme for a SLT is tailored to meet the specific needs of a particular group and context.
Professional Learning Series
LEADERSHIP INNOVATION NZ run a number of professional learning series each year. In 2017 there will be three separate series, each lasting three days.
Innovative Learning Environments
There is currently a requirement for schools to become innovative learning environments. Variously known as modern, flexible or innovative learning environments,
Emerging Leaders Programme
The Emerging Leaders Programme is a two or three-day programme specifically tailored to the needs of a particular school context.
